Everyday Makeup Essentials.

This post is on some of my everyday makeup products, I haven’t included everything such as concealer, mascara or brow products, as I usually mix them up, also, jlip products as I am going to do a separate post on them. So, here are some of the things that I use most days…

Benefit – POREfessional license to blot

I often get a shiny T zone if my makeup has been on for a few hours but this product really minimises the shine. I apply it after a primer, before my foundation to the areas that are prone to shine, it also helps to minimise pores.

Too Faced – Born this way foundation

I am so happy I found this foundation! It is oil free but infused with coconut water to ensure skin stays hydrated. It has a medium coverage but it is buildable and it creates the perfect dewy glow, even for oily/combination skin. I bought this in Sephora when I was in New York but they  also sell it online at Debenhams. I find it works better if applied with a brush rather than a sponge but it is definitely long lasting! I also love the packaging and it  comes with a pump which is always a plus for a foundation.

NARS – Light reflecting loose setting powder, Translucent.

I use this powder everyday and I have had it for a while now but there is still a lot of product left. It is perfect for minimising shine but without making your face look lifeless, I love that it is light reflecting so it makes you look glowy – but not oily! Out of the powders I have, I always find myself reaching for this one because I can trust it will work.

MAC bronzer – Give me Sun

This bronzer is perfect for subtle contouring and adding some warmth to the face. I use it everyday and it is one of my favourite bronzers to use. I apply it just under my cheekbones and around my forehead/hairline.

Topshop highlight – Sunbeam

I thought I’d try this highlight as I have heard so many people rave about Topshops glow pot. I wasn’t sure about this when I first saw the colour as it looks very yellow. However, when I first applied it I loved it straight away! It catches the light perfectly and has made me want to try more Topshop makeup!

Becca Cosmetics X Jaclyn Hill highlight – Champagne Pop (no flash)

So, the minute this highlight was released everyone that bought it fell in love and it is still a bestseller. Even when I went to New York, which is full of Sephoras, it was difficult to find one that had it in stock! It is the most perfect golden, peachy highlight and makes the skin look so dewy. This will definitely be hard to beat for me!

NARS X Steven Klein – Despair cheek palette

Firstly, I love the packaging of this product, it is quite bulky so you know the blushes are not going to get smashed or cracked. It comes with two slightly matte shades and two shimmery shades. My favourite shade is the peachy one as I like to wear it with Champagne pop. However, I recently tried the matte pink with the shimmery shade and they blend really well together. I’m not sure if this is still available but I wanted to include it as NARS do some really lovely blushes.
