I am now starting to post regular content so thought I would start with a post on my current night time skincare routine. This is what works for me, I have combination skin (normal/oily) and my skin is slightly sensitive. Although this wouldn’t work for everyone I find that these products work well for me when used together and I have seen an improvement in my skin, in the sense that it is more radiant and smooth, so I thought I would share them!
Out of all my saviours, Cleanse and Polish by Liz Earle has to be number one. I first got given this cleanser as a present for Christmas 2015 and I have used it everyday since. It makes cleansing my face enjoyable and melts my makeup off effortlessly, used with the muslin cloth to give a light exfoliation to the skin, they really are the perfect pair! It’s so important to find a cleanser that works for you, whether you wear makeup or not, it’s vital to cleanse your face everyday!
After cleansing I always spray this Mario Badescu water onto a cotton pad and use it as a toner to remove any final traces of makeup. I also use this to freshen up my face during the day and it’s really light and hydrating. I wasn’t sure how I would find this as I found that when I used the Seaweed night cream it was a bit too heavy for my skin but I’m obsessed with this!
I only started using this about three weeks ago, after hearing so many great things I thought I’d finally give it a go and I’m so glad I did! I use this either on it’s own or I add a few drops to my night mosituriser and not only is the smell amazing but I also wake up with soft skin that feels like it has been nicely hydrated over night. It’s a product that you know you can trust to look after your skin properly. It is pricey but you can see how much I’ve used in three weeks and it’s not a lot so it will last a long time.
Murad is a brand that I got introduced to last year when I started the course that I am currently studying and after working with their products I was sold! I got this night cream as a present for Christmas and I’m surprised how long it has lasted! I think it’s important to have a night cream that is slightly heavier than your day cream and is more oil based. This has Evening Primrose Oil which is an essential oil containing GLA, which is used to improve conditions such as eczema and psoriasis and it also restores lost moisture. This moisturiser also contain antioxidants to fight free radicals so it makes a good addition to my night time skincare routine.
I received this from L’Oreal the other week and I love it! Coming into April I wanted to add a bit more colour to my skin and this is one of my favourite tans for the face that I have used. I like the idea that it is designed to use over night so you wake up with a nice natural glow. You can keep applying it before bed for consecutive nights until you are happy with the colour. The idea of this product is that it is also meant to hydrate the skin overnight whilst the tan develops, I also like that it doesn’t go streaky and the smell isn’t too overpowering. It is the perfect ‘pick me up’ product for Spring!
