Liz Earle – Cleanse and Polish…

If you’re looking for a cleanser that makes a difference to your skin, without making it feel tight and dry, whilst also understanding that skin can be sensitive, then this is the one for you! I first tried Cleanse and Polish about two years ago, once I had received it as a Christmas present. Since then,Β I use this every evening and it has become the most important stepΒ to start off my skincare routine.

How I use it…

I usually apply 2-3 pumps of Cleanse and Polish to my face and neck, gently massaging it into my skin. By using massage movements when using a cleanser, it helps to stimulate the skins circulation, encouraging skin to appear more radiant, and who doesn’t want that?! I then use the Liz Earle muslin cloth to remove the cleanser and make sure that every bit of makeup is removed. The two products work perfectly together as the cloth acts as a gentle exfoliator on the skin and it isn’t too harsh so you can use it every day. Β I then follow it with the rest of my night time skincare routine.

“Cleansers are a vital part of your skincare routine… they are the product that ensures all makeup is removed and Cleanse and Polish never makes me doubt this or think otherwise!”

Helpful tips…

  • I always apply my Cleanse and Polish to dry skin and then dampen the cloth in warm-hot water to wash it off.
  • Don’t be afraid to rub it over your eyes, to remove mascara and eye makeup… it works perfectly and doesn’t sting!
  • Although it may seem a little pricey, it really is worth it! One bottle always lasts me longer than a month and I use it once, if not twice a day! Many people are sceptical about spending money on a cleanser as it just gets washed away but I believe that it is just as important as any of the other skincare products. It is the first step of your skincare routine and is the product that ensures all the makeup is removed thoroughly!
  • I regularly put my cloth in the washing machine to keep it clean and it comes out perfect, whereas I have done this with cloths in the past and they come out ruined!

Why I love it…

Why do I love Cleanse and Polish? It was the first cleanser that I actually looked forward to applying to my skin every night and I repeatedly come back to it. I used this cleanser throughout my whole year of beauty training. We would work on our skin almost every day, trying different products and practicing with a range of machines for our exams. Also, we would perform and receive multiple facial massages using oil. After a month had passed, my skin started going into crazy mode! My skin wasn’t used to having that many products applied every day (however much I loved it!) and also I had moved from the seaside to London, so the environmental changes were starting to show. Now I am not saying my skin was terrible, I just started to get breakouts more frequently which had never been much of a problem in the past. However, using Cleanse and Polish every day religiously, it really did help my skin to calm down every evening, (thank you chamomile!) as well as reduce my frequent breakouts. Another thing I love about this cleanser is the scent! The rosemary and chamomile scents are perfectly put together and they create a relaxing aroma before I go to sleep. I also love the limited edition scents, I have purchased the Rose and Lavender one multiple times, aswell as the Grapefruit and Patchouli and I always look forward to my favourite one being released at christmas, which was also the first one I received as a gift! It is the Sweet orange and Mint scent and it smells unreal! It also comes in a limited edition 150ml pump, rather than the 100ml and it lasts for so long! I have recommended Liz Earle to so many family and friends, who I know have gone on to recommend it to their loved ones! Like me, they all use their cleanser religiously and have never looked back! So, thank you Liz Earle for creating the perfect cleanser in Cleanse and Polish and for helping me feel confident about my skin.
