Everyday Essentials (Updated)…

My last ‘Everyday Essentials’ blog post was a long while ago now so I thought I would do a more updated version. These products are my holy grail items that I use nearly everyday for a natural, glowy makeup look. If you would like to see some of the everyday makeup tutorials I have created that are quick and easy, I would love it if you had a look at my YouTube channel and be sure to comment that you read this post! So, if you want to see my favourite products for an everyday look, please keep on reading…

First up is my favourite primer at the moment to create a radiant base. This is the MAC Strobe cream and I have it in both the original shade and the goldlite shade. I use the original shade for a more natural flush and the goldlite for a more intense, golden glow. I love to use these as primers because they make my skin feel perfectly prepped for my foundation and they are also perfect to use on those no makeup days to create flawless, glowy looking skin… which I’m all about!

This is my favourite foundation at the minute. It is the LA Girl HD illuminating foundation and it creates a gorgeous dewy finish to help with those winter mornings when we wake up with dry, dehydrated skin. This is medium to full coverage and blends like a dream. I have combination skin and have oily areas on my forehead, chin and nose but this foundation really seems to regulate the oil (especially used with a good powder… see below!) and also makes my normal areas look radiant. It mixes really well with other foundations and I recently purchased the white shade as a lightener so I can use this during the winter months. If that wasn’t enough of a reason to purchase this foundation… it is so well priced! I reach for this just as much as I do my high end foundations and its about a third of the cost!

Now onto concealer… this is the Maybelline Eraser Eye concealer and is a product that so many people love as you get so much for your money and it is just as good as those more expensive concealers. Like I have said previously, when doing my makeup, the most important step for me that I take the longest on is my base. I spend a lot of time on my skincare and making sure that my base looks as seamless as possible. This concealer makes it easy for me to do this as it blends so perfectly with my foundation and also brightens my under eye as well as covering my dark circles, without leaving the dreaded white ‘look at my bright undereye’ marks!

Next up is this Beauty Bakerie Translucent loose setting powder which is a recent purchase for me but I have been using it everyday since. Firstly, the packaging this came in was so cute, it looked like an actual bag of flour! (Yes, I’m a sucker for packaging!) This creates such a smooth base without making my foundation look cakey. I love applying this product with a sponge and it really does control my oily areas as well as helping me achieve that seamless base. It also has no colour to it which I love.

This is the NARS bronzer in the shade Laguna. I adore this bronzer and have used it for years now. It is the perfect shade for me and I also use it to create a natural contour on my face and it blends really well. I love it because it isn’t too warm and doesn’t look at all orangey on the skin. I wanted to include a picture that showed just how much I have used because I very rarely hit pan on a product and, as this is an everyday essentials post, I wanted to show you proof of just how much I love it!

This is the Too Faced ‘Papa don’t Peach’ blusher (love the name of this one!) Ever since I purchased this product I have reached for it more than my other powder blushers. I am not a fan of bright pink blush shades, just because they don’t suit my skin tone and don’t really go with the makeup looks I like to create. This blusher is perfect for me because it is more of a peachy, nude shade and has a very slight shimmer to it which also helps to create that glow. It also smells gorgeous which adds to the experience of using it everyday!

These are the Iconic London illuminator drops in the original shade. I adore these and use them everyday without fail, whether that is mixed in with my primer, foundation, on their own or under a powder highlighter, they are on my face! They are the perfect shade to create a golden, champagne highlight and blend perfectly. They do create quite an intense glow so bare that in mind but I am definitely not complaining about that! These are featured in so many of my posts and videos because I honestly can’t get enough and will never stop using these! Like I’ve said before… these are GLOW in a bottle!

Next up is this NYX Lid Lingerie Eye Tint and this is perfect to use everyday as it is a very subtle shimmer but is so easy to use and blend. I just apply this all over my lid to create a golden look and you can be as messy as you like with this product… just be quick, as it dries quite quickly! This product and the NARS Laguna bronzer applied in the crease is my go to!

When choosing my favourite mascara I have a hard time as I have different ones I love that I use for different occasions. For an everyday one though, I thought I would feature the Benefit Roller Lash mascara. I use this one a lot and it creates both length and definition to my lashes, as well as giving them a lift. I love the brush on this as it is the perfect width and separates my eyelashes, making sure that every single one is coated with mascara. I also love this because it doesn’t flake or create a hot mess under my eyes which is something that is very important for me when looking for a mascara!

As I have previously said, my brows are very thick and my eyebrow hairs are long, making my brows rather unruly. Therefore, for an everyday brow product, I usually opt for just an eyebrow gel as they don’t make my eyebrows look too intense and also keep them in place for much longer. I had to feature this KIKO Eyebrow Designer clear gel as it is so reasonable and honestly makes my eyebrows look well groomed without the ‘greasy, hard looking brow’ finish! Always be sure to brush this product through the brows after it is applied so it looks as natural as possible. I picked this one up on a whim and am so glad I did as I always reach for it when doing a natural makeup look.

So, if you love a nude lip like me and don’t own this lip liner… you need to buy it! I know that there are a lot of dupes out there for this product which are cheaper but honestly, for me, no other lip liner compares to this MAC Spice lip liner. It is so creamy and so pigmented. I always have this on my lips, whether that’s on its own or underneath another lip product. It creates the perfect nude lip and allows you to line the lips to just how you want them to be. It has lasted me for so long and I always apply this lip liner underneath my lipstick as it really does help my lip colour to stay in place from morning to afternoon to evening, and every meal in between!

Lastly, this is the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution lipstick in the shade Pillow Talk. I always pair this with the lip liner above as it really does create the ultimate everyday nude lip, giving you that perfect pout. It smells gorgeous and although it gives a matte finish, it feels so creamy on the lips and is not drying in the slightest. It lasts all day and is definitely one of my all time favourite lipsticks. It enhances your own natural lip colour which I love and is a true nude shade with a touch of pink, it’s honestly such a beautiful shade!

So that’s it for my everyday makeup essentials! I hope you enjoyed reading this post, if you did I would love it if you followed my blog and please comment and let me know if you have tried any of these products out and what your everyday essentials are!
