I always have a dedicated drawer that is usually full of products that I have purchased but am yet to try, so, after my recent Yet to Try Skincare Video, I thought I would upload a blog post on some Rimmel makeup that I haven’t tried out yet. I am a big fan of drugstore makeup and I think that the quality is getting better and better, there really are some amazing products in the drugstore and for such amazing prices! I hope you enjoy reading!
This is the Rimmel Match Perfection Silky Loose Face Powder. I love loose translucent powders, I think they give a flawless finish and really help your makeup to last all day. For the price of this, you really do get a lot of product. This is in the shade 001 Transparent, it does look like it had pink undertones but it might come out differently on the skin. It says that it is a lightweight, smooth powder that wears up to 8 hours. I will probably apply this under my eyes, over concealer, for the ultimate test, as I am quite fussy with powders… I try to avoid looking cakey or powdery at all costs!
This is the Rimmel Natural Bronzer in the shade 025 Sun Glow and it has a slight shimmer to it which I don’t usually like in a bronzer, I prefer a matte bronzer, but I think this would be really nice to use in the summer. I also love that this has SPF 15 in it and it is also waterproof, which is another bonus for the summer! It has a very soft texture so should be easy to blend and it says it wears for up to 10 hours.
This is the Rimmel X Kate Moss Sculpting Palette in the shade 003 Golden Bronze and has a highlight, contour and blush shade. I have heard really good reviews on this product and I love how it is three products in one, so it’s perfect for travelling. This is meant to help give a radiant healthy glow and I really like the shades in this palette. The contour shade isn’t too warm and it looks like it would be perfect for defining those cheekbones, the blush is a gorgeous coral shade which I always look for in a blusher and the highlight looks like it would be really nice over a liquid highlighter.
First up is the Rimmel Magnif’Eyes Palette in the shade 002 London Nudes Calling. This has a really nice range of colours, a mix of matte and shimmer shades and they look like you could create a range of eye looks with them. It says they have long lasting colour, are crease proof and can be used wet for more intense pigment and to give more definition to the eyes.
This is the Rimmel Wonder’Full Mascara and I think I have used one of these mascaras before and really liked how it lengthened my lashes. The thing I love about this mascara is that it has argan oil in it and it is really good for conditioning the lashes. I am a big fan of Rimmel mascaras, I used to use the Rimmel Scandaleyes Mascara all the time and I always love how intense and rich the colour is.
This is the Rimmel Brow This Way Powder in the shade 002 Medium Brown. When I swatched this on my hand I was really impressed, it was instantly dry and set and it didn’t budge at all. I also really like how different this product is and the applicator looks like it would be really nice to use on the brows. The only thing is I’m not sure if this shade is too light for my brows, if it is I will give it to my mum but it looks like it could be a really good product nonetheless!
This is the Rimmel Brow This Way Highlighting Pencil and is meant to create a more defined brow bone. It says it instantly lifts and illuminates the brow arch. I think this is quite a nice shade for the brow bone as it isn’t too intense and looks like it would give a nice subtle shimmer, the pencil also makes it easy to get a precise application.
Rimmel are quite well known for their lip products and as I am a big fan of nude lips, this looks like a really lovely nude lip combo and perfect for an everyday lip colour. First is the Rimmel X Kate Moss Lipstick in the shade 56 Boho Nude. It looks like a really lovely peachy nude shade and is quite creamy so would be comfortable to wear on the lips.
Lastly, this is the Rimmel Lasting Finish Lip Pencil in the shade 050 Tiramisu. It is a deep nude shade, which I love for a lip liner, and looks like it would pair perfectly with various different nude shades. I have the Cappuccino shade of this and love it so if it is anything like that one, I will be wearing it a lot!
